The "Long and Short" of Fashion and Finance

Jeffrey L. Halper formed Halper Capital Management, LLC in 2004  to transfer his edge in forecasting the ‘long and short’ of fashion into profiting from the ‘longs and shorts’ of apparel-related stocks.

Halper Capital Management's objective is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in publicly traded apparel-related stocks of specialty and department stores, discount retailers and manufacturers. The  strategy  balances certain risks in the portfolio by using short sales, buying and selling options and various other hedging techniques.
